King Charles and Prince Harry are finally ready to move on from their bitter feud.

On July 13, the Mail on Sunday reported that the senior aides of King Charles III and his estranged son the Duke of Sussex held a secret “peace summit” last week, marking the “first step” toward a possible reconciliation between the father and son after a long rift.

Harry’s chief communications officer Meredith Maines was pictured having drinks with the King’s communications secretary Tobyn Andreae at the Royal Over-Sea League club, which is just three minutes away from Charles’ London residence of Clarence House.

“There’s a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in years,” a source told the Mail. “There was no formal agenda, just casual drinks. There were things both sides wanted to talk about.”

“Everyone just wants to move on and move forward now. It was finally the right time for the two sides to talk,” the insider added.

When will Prince Harry and King Charles meet?

It has long been reported that Prince Harry will extend an invitation for the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 to his father King Charles and brother Prince William.

However, a reconciliation could happen much sooner as the Duke is set to visit London in September for the WellChild Awards, per reports. It would mark their first meeting in 18 months.

Who initiated Prince Harry, King Charles peace summit?

It is not known who initiated the so-called “peace summit.” However, both Prince Harry and King Charles are said to have given their “blessings” for their aides to meet.

Was Prince William involved in Prince Harry, King Charles peace summit?

Prince William and Princess Kate’s representatives were not part of the meeting as sources claimed that an invite was not extended to them.
