Prince Harry has officially hit a major milestone this week, it’s now under two years until the Invictus Games returns to the UK.
The Duke of Sussex’s flagship event for wounded veterans will take place in Birmingham from July 10–17, 2027, at the NEC, marking its first return to Britain since 2014.
Harry, 40, is expected to fly from his Montecito, California home for the event, but it’s unclear whether Meghan Markle or their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will join him.
The bigger question: Will this event spark a long-awaited royal reunion?
Reports suggest Harry has extended a personal invitation to his royal relatives, including King Charles, 76, and Prince William, 43, despite ongoing tensions since Harry and Meghan’s 2020 royal exit.
A source recently told The Mail on Sunday: “Invictus hopes the Royal Family will come along to support the wounded veterans… This is one olive branch from Harry, which might be reciprocated.”
Harry’s team is expected to send formal invitations as the event draws closer.
Could this mark the moment the fractured family begins to heal? Royal watchers will be keeping a close eye on whether the Windsors accept Harry’s invitation.
