Suits fans think they’ve cracked the code on when Meghan Markle first started dating Prince Harry, and they believe it shows on-screen.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, played paralegal Rachel Zane from 2011 to 2018, but fans watching Suits on Netflix now claim they can spot a shift in her scenes during season six (filmed 2016-2017).
That period aligns closely with when Meghan and Harry’s real-life romance reportedly began in the summer of 2016.
Viewers took to Reddit to swap theories, with one pointing out that Rachel’s chemistry with on-screen fiancé Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) felt “off.”
“They barely hug or kiss despite intense storylines. Even Harvey and Mike have more chemistry,” they joked.
Another fan noticed subtle wardrobe changes: “Her hemlines were longer, shirts more buttoned-up, and the camera stopped lingering on her as she walked away.”
Some felt Meghan’s portrayal of Rachel became less believable in emotional scenes, suggesting she may have already been preoccupied with her blossoming royal romance.
Meghan and Harry made their relationship public in late 2016, before announcing their engagement in November 2017.
