Kanye West braves rain for 70,000 Chinese fans in historic comeback

Kanye West returned to China and delivered an electrifying performance at Shanghai Stadium in front of a sold out crowd of more than 70,000 fans.

However, the Chicago rapper’s performance wasn’t without controversies as he showed up on stage 40 minutes late, prompting some fans to demand a refund.

The Runaway hitmaker braved the rain while performing at one of the biggest hip hop concerts in China. 

The signature tracks by the 24-time Grammy winner included, POWER, Can’t Tell Me Nothing, Blood on the Leaves and Famous.

Ye, formerly Kanye West, delivered his first full concert in China since 2008.

Fans of the I Wonder hitmaker took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their appreciation for the singer.

One user wrote, “Ye’s concert was a historic cultural moment that harkened back to the good old days of Shanghai.”

Another penned, “Greatest performer of all time,” and a third fan expressed, “This man is truly inspirational, regardless of his beliefs, he is always innovating the game!! The power of One Black Man on a huge stage by himself with a sea of people going crazy is wild.”

The China concert by the singer comes after his visa for Australia was revoked over the controversial song Heil Hitler glorifying Nazi leader.
