Sabrina Carpenter's new album, Man's Best Friend, received mixed reactions from fans.

The pop star’s seventh studio album was released on August 29, featuring 12 tracks.

The songs include Tears, My Man on Willpower, Sugar Talking, We Almost Broke Up Again Last Night, Nobody's Son, Never Getting Laid, When Did You Get Hot?, Go Go Juice, Don't Worry I'll Make You Worry, House Tour, Goodbye, and Manchild, which was released back in June, topped the charts.

Notably, the latest release by Sabrina has left fans a little disappointed. One fan pointed out on social media, “It’s boring. Short N Sweet was such a good, diverse album. This sounds all the same. Yes, it’s cohesive, but that makes it boring.”

Another fan stated, “I love Sabrina, but I've skipped every song so far. I'm up to Nobody's Son, and it's nearly another skip.”

Fans' reaction suggests that they were expecting a lot more from the pop artist.

On the other hand, some well-wishers of Sabrina took no time to defend their favourite singer.

One admirer of Please Please Please hitmaker penned, “I feel like this album was more so empowering and fun for her to write rather than demeaning, like other ppl are saying. Just let the woman be, she’s absolutely slaying it, and I think people just wanna drag her down bc she’s become successful."

Another fan added, “This is excellent, I feel like nobody is actually really listening and just going off negative comments.”

Earlier, in conversation with CBS, the Espresso artist advised critics to approach the album lightheartedly.

Sabrina seemingly hit back at her haters, stating, "The album is not for any pearl clutchers."
