The widely loved actor Pedro Pascal is often referred to as Pepelo, Pipi, Pedders, Peds, and Pepsi by his friends and family, and is most of the time confident about his roles.

Pascal is crushing it in 2025 with his blockbuster projects, including The Fantastic Four, The Last of Us, Materialists, Eddington, and The Mandalorian.

TV’s favourite antihero has been loved for The Mandalorian and received an Emmy nomination for HBO’s adaptation of the blockbuster The Last of Us video games.

However, Pascal recently revealed, while talking to Vanity Fair, that his casting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe brought him the most conflict.

“I’m more aware of disgruntlement around my casting than anything I’ve ever done,” Pascal shared about playing Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Pascal said the regular complaints he hears are as follows: “He’s too old. He’s not right. He needs to shave.”

Pascal is appearing in the MCU movie alongside Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm.

All the Fantastic Four characters are confirmed to return in the MCU’s 2026 movie, Avengers: Doomsday.

Moreover, The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to open in theatres on July 25.
