Meghan Markle’s friend and tech entrepreneur Christopher Bouzy has spoken out against the “vicious campaign” of online hate the duchess faces, this time, over a lighthearted video of her dancing while pregnant.
The now-viral clip shows Meghan and Prince Harry dancing in a hospital room to induce labour before Princess Lilibet’s birth.
Though intended as a joyful moment, the video was mocked online, with conspiracy theorists accusing Meghan of faking her pregnancy and criticizing her for “twerking” at nine months.
Bouzy, who appeared in the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, defended her in a Newsweek op-ed: “This nightmare is what Meghan’s life has become. Every joyful moment gets twisted into ammunition.”
He slammed the "moonbump" theory as “a special kind of cruelty,” calling the constant harassment “psychological torture designed to break someone’s spirit.”
Bouzy argued Meghan’s “only crime was falling in love with a prince,” and called out those monetizing hate against her.
Though he's been a vocal Sussex defender, Bouzy has made controversial remarks himself, including calling Prince William a “balding muppet” and comparing Kate Middleton’s cancer video to “North Korean propaganda.”
