Prince William reveals why Prince Louis has 'five favourite football teams'

Prince Louis might only be seven, but according to his dad Prince William, he’s already dealing with a major life decision: choosing which football team to support.

The adorable royal is apparently keeping his options very open, supporting not one, but five different teams at the moment. 

The confession came straight from the Prince of Wales during his visit to Street Soccer Scotland in Leith, a charity his Royal Foundation is now backing.

“My youngest supports five different teams now,” William said with a smile, while chatting to players and coaches at the community centre in Edinburgh.

Prince William, a lifelong Aston Villa fan, has made no secret of his football obsession, and it seems his eldest, Prince George, is already following in his footsteps. 

The 10-year-old has been spotted cheering alongside his dad at Villa games and is considered a true fan.

About Louis, William joked earlier this year that he’s secretly hoping not all three of his kids become Villa loyalists.

“I hope Charlotte and Louis support different teams, we need a bit of diversity in the house,” he said during a Wetherspoons pub chat with fellow fans in Birmingham.

The future king had arranged the low-key meet-up with die-hard Aston Villa supporters before a match earlier this year. One of those fans, Steve Jones, recalled how down-to-earth and passionate William was during the chat.

“He was fantastic. He’s not a fair-weather fan, he really loves the club,” Jones said. “George is a Villa fan, but [William] didn’t want all three to be.”
