Prince William and Kate Middleton are celebrating a special family milestone today, the 7th anniversary of Prince Louis’s christening.
The youngest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales turned seven in April, and July 9 marks the day he was christened at the Chapel Royal in St James’s Palace.
Although Prince Louis may not remember much from the day, his parents certainly do. The ceremony was attended by key members of the royal family, including then-Prince Charles and Camilla, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and his siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
The service followed royal tradition, with Louis wearing a hand-crafted replica of the Royal Christening Robe made by the Queen’s dressmaker Angela Kelly.
The ceremony also used the historic Lily Font and water from the River Jordan.
William and Kate chose six godparents for their youngest son, including friends and family like Guy Pelly and Kate’s cousin Lucy Middleton.
As Prince William prepares to travel to Switzerland for the UEFA Women’s Euro match, the family is likely to take a moment to reflect on this touching royal milestone
