Legal battle erupts over Prince Andrews £7m settlement after Virginia Giuffres death

Virginia Giuffre’s family is embroiled in a bitter legal battle to stop her estranged husband from inheriting part of her estate, including a $10 million payout reportedly received from Prince Andrew.

Giuffre, a prominent Epstein accuser and anti-trafficking advocate, died by suicide in April in Australia without leaving a formal will.

Under local law, her husband Robert Giuffre, who she was divorcing, could be entitled to a third of her estate.

Her family, however, claims Virginia explicitly wanted him to receive “not a dime.”

Her brothers have hired a lawyer to challenge the inheritance, citing violent abuse allegations and diary entries that included a chilling line: “If I don’t make it please don’t let Rob have any money.”

Virginia’s children have filed to become administrators of her estate, hoping to honour her stated wish to leave everything to her kids and her charity, Speak Out, Act Reclaim.

The payout from Prince Andrew came in 2022 when he settled a lawsuit with Giuffre over sex abuse allegations, which he has denied.

The family’s lawyer believes the courts will likely recognize her informal will—setting up a high-stakes courtroom showdown over one of the most high-profile estates in recent years.
