Princess Anne has stunned royal watchers by debuting a brand-new hairstyle for the first time in decades.
The Princess Royal stepped out on Tuesday evening alongside her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, for the French state banquet at Windsor Castle, and quickly stole the spotlight.
Known for her iconic 1970s-style bouffant, Anne surprised fans by switching it up with a sleek low chignon, a marked departure from her usual hairspray-heavy updo.
It’s the first time in over 50 years the royal has significantly changed her signature hairstyle.
Dressed in an elegant white gown with lace trim, previously worn for her 70th birthday portrait, the Princess also wore her beloved Festoon Tiara, completing a look that social media users dubbed “regal” and “absolutely stunning.”
Royal fans took to X to share their delight.
“Ma’am is serving looks tonight,” one user wrote. Another added: “Princess Anne’s hair looks so lovely. This is a very flattering style.”
With her graceful presence and updated look, Princess Anne proved once again why she remains a timeless royal fashion icon, even when making the subtlest of changes.
