Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s case is showing no signs of slowing down, as the legal teams for the It Ends With Us co-stars are still going back and forth about Taylor Swift.
The Jane The Virgin star’s lawyer Bryan Freedman, released a statement detailing why subpoenaing the Now That We Don't Talk singer was significant to the case, along with making other shocking claims.
Justin's representative stated that a "source who is highly likely to have reliable information" told them that they have proof that Lively’s legal team has made "extortionate threats" towards Swift’s attorneys to comply.
The Is It Over Now? singer was allegedly told to "release a statement of support" for the Green Lantern actress, and if she refused, Lively, 32, would leak text conversations between the decade-long friends, as per Freedman.
However, the Gossip Girl alum’s attorney, Mike Gottlieb slammed the claims by noting, "This is categorically false," to People magazine.
The lawyer continued, “We unequivocally deny all of these so-called allegations, which are cowardly sourced to supposed anonymous sources, and completely untethered from reality."
Gottlieb went on to say that this was expected of Baldoni’s legal team, since they have done the same thing in the past-trusted sources without evidence and payed no heed to the people being hurt in the process.
"We will imminently file motions with the court to hold these attorneys accountable for their misconduct here," he concluded.
Notably, the 14-time Grammy winner’s extent of involvement in the case is still yet to be confirmed.
The Lively-Baldoni case is slated to begin on March 2026, in which the Another Simple Favor actress is expected to take the stand.
