Taylor Swift’s long-term friend Blake Lively is locked in a legal battle with co-star Justin Baldoni as the case is set for a courtroom trial in 2026.
The pop star has also been embroiled in the legal drama along with her best friend, which has reportedly left her feeling “frustrated”.
It was recently reported that the pop icon has been subpoenaed to court as she has been asked to testify in the case, which she does not want to.
Taylor was named in the lawsuit as Justin claims that she was involved in Blake Lively’s attempt to take creative control of It Ends With Us.
However, Taylor’s team has denied her involvement in the drama.
The singer’s legal team is fighting their subpoena as the firm representing her, Venable, has said that Justin summoning Taylor is “an abuse of the discovery process”, according to Billboard.
The subpoena was slammed by Taylor’s team as they called it “designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case.”
Blake Lively is suing Justin Baldoni over allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct on the set of It Ends With Us. The lawsuit, filed earlier this year, accuses the actor-director of inappropriate behavior and creating a hostile work environment. The legal battle has since escalated, with both parties fighting fiercely in court.
