Queen Camilla wows in teal Dior as King Charles hosts garden bash at the Palace

The royals are officially in party mode as King Charles and Queen Camilla kicked off the first Buckingham Palace Garden Party of the season.

Braving the unpredictable British weather, the King and Queen arrived at the lavish event on Wednesday, holding umbrellas as grey clouds hovered over the palace lawns. 

Queen Camilla stunned in a teal blue silk crepe dress with cream lace by Christian Dior, topped with a chic hat by royal milliner Philip Treacy, and finished off her look with a sparkling turquoise and diamond brooch.

As is tradition, the King made his entrance at 4pm via the palace terrace, alongside a strong royal squad: Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.

This marks the first of several royal garden parties this summer, with two more scheduled at Buckingham Palace, including a themed Education and Skills Garden Party on May 14, and The Not Forgotten Association Annual Garden Party on May 16, supporting injured and sick veterans and hosted by the Duchess of Gloucester.

The final royal garden party will take place at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Scotland on July 1, rounding off the season with a regal bang.
