The fans of the teen sitcom Drake & Josh were hit with nostalgia when their childhood favourite Josh Peck made a surprise appearance on the drama series The Last of Us.
Josh appeared on the Episode 4 of the show’s season 2 leaving fans shocked.
The actor plays the role of a FEDRA soldier who delivers a monologue in the opening scene making a brief but memorable appearance.
The 38-year-old revealed to Variety how he landed the role saying “It was just an audition that came in”.
“Like most great writing, when I read the scene, I was like, ‘I think I know how to do this.”
Josh said he was waiting for a response but also did not expect to hear back because he usually doesn’t “get things as good as this”.
“So when I heard back, I was so excited.”
The actor said he immediately knew his character and how wanted to play it saying “With The Last of Us, the writing was so good that I immediately had a very specific take and choice about who this guy was”.
Josh Peck lost 127 pounds due to a combination of diet, exercise and mental health support over the course of 18 months.
