Gordon Ramsay is one of the most famous names in the culinary world who is well known for his shows like Hell’s Kitchen and Masterchef.
The celebrity chef has revealed his cancer battle in new post revealing that he had to remove skin cancer cells.
The 58-year-old shared a picture on his Instagram of his scar stitched up below his ear.
He said that he was “grateful and so appreciative” for his medical team who removed basal cell carcinoma from the side of his face.
The TV chef reminded his followers to take care of their skin writing, “Please don't forget your sunscreen this weekend”.
Adding an amusing note to the comment, he added, “I promise you it's not a face lift! I'd need a refund”.
The post was appreciated by users for raising awareness as even the Cancer Research UK commented, “Glad to hear you're doing well, Gordon, and thanks for raising awareness of how important it is to stay safe in the sun.”
Basal cell carcinoma is a type of skin cancer that starts in the top layer of the skin.
Last year, Gordon received another surgery after falling off his bike in the US.
