Sabrina Carpenter enjoyed global success with her sixth studio album Short ‘n Sweet which made her follow up album highly anticipated.
The pop star’s seventh studio album was released on August 29, featuring 12 tracks.
The newly released album has themes of romance, men and a lot of references to the 26-year-old’s former partners.
The singer revealed that the former lovers are “flattered” by her songs about them.
The blonde singer admitted that she is “pretty transparent” about her relationships and songwriting and her partners “are just as down for it”.
“I think it's also, most of the time, they've been pretty flattered when they get a song written about them, good or bad.”, she told CBS Mornings.
She added, “It's more fun for people to picture in their head than the person I picture in my head, I think.”
Sabrina famously dated Irish actor Barry Keoghan until their split in December 2024, citing “busy schedule” as reasons, but it was speculated that Keoghan cheated on the singer.
The Grammy-winner had written two hit songs on the former partner including Please Please Please and Bed Chem.
While initial reactions are rolling in after first listens of the album, the record has received mixed reviews.
