Queen Camilla has welcomed a new four-legged friend into the royal family.

During a visit to the Beaney House of Art & Knowledge in Canterbury on February 25, the Queen, 77, revealed that she recently adopted a rescue puppy.

“I've just got a new puppy,” she shared in a conversation captured on video by royal reporter Rebecca English.

The tiny pup, just eight weeks old, is a mix of different breeds — earning him a name as unique as he is. “He's called Moley. Looks just like a mole!” Camilla said.

Moley’s arrival comes three months after the heartbreaking loss of Beth, the Queen’s beloved Jack Russell Terrier, who had to be put down due to an untreatable tumour. Beth, adopted from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in 2011, was so special to Camilla that her likeness was embroidered on the Queen’s coronation dress.

Camilla and King Charles had hinted at plans to bring another dog into their home following Beth’s passing. Back in November, the King mentioned they were considering a new pet during the Royal Variety Performance.

The royal family has long had a deep love for dogs, with Queen Elizabeth famously known for her corgis. Now, with Moley joining the palace, it seems the tradition continues.
