Prince Harry, Meghan Markle refuse to attend Coronation without balcony appearance

King Charles III is expected to reject his Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s request to make an appearance on the balcony during his Coronation, which was scheduled for May 6th.

Speaking to The Express  royal expert Angelia Mollard revealed that the Sussexes allegedly demanded that they appear with the rest of the senior royals on the historic balcony appearance.

This comes in the backdrop of reports that the California-based couple refused to attend the Coronation if their requests were not agreed to, which included the aforementioned as well as a nod to their son Archie.

"The latest thing they've said is they want to be on the balcony for the Coronation while not giving a confirmation themselves that they're going to be there," Mollard said.

"This is five weeks out, they need some planning around this, they need to know whether to set aside the chairs," the expert added.

"There is no chance they're going to be on the balcony — the Queen wanted a slimmed-down monarchy," she pointed out.

"Charles is further enforcing that. He has dealt beautifully with Andrew and they need to turn around and say there's no chance they'll get a place on that balcony."

An insider said that the Sussexes "would like some kind of nod" to their son Archie at the event because his birthday falls on the Coronation event.
