James Gunn teases return of Amanda Waller for another DC project

Looks like James Gunn hasn’t let go of the whole old DC cast.

The co-CEO of DC Studios took to his Instagram story to share an image of his cat Emily lying between his computer’s keyboard and monitor.

An open document behind Emily made a mention of Waller, presumably a reference to the founder of Suicide Squad, Amanda Waller.

“Writing partner,” he wrote over the story, “#caturday #emilymonster.”

The character of Waller is placed by Academy Award winner Viola Davis, who first appeared in the 2016 installment of Suicide Squad, going on to reappear in Gunn’s reboot in 2021.

She also made appearances in the DCU series Peacemaker and Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam.
