Jack Black to lead cast in upcoming Minecraft movie adaptation

Minecraft is bringing to big screens the most popular Jack Black!

All Minecraft fans are happy as the video game show is offering them some pixelated fun.

Deadline revealed that Jack Black and Jason Momoa will headline the movie adaptation, distributed by Microsoft, produced by Vertigo and Momoas on the Roam banner.

Although the movie’s plot remains hidden, Black’s character of Steve will be rather charismatic.

Alongside the famed black and Momoa other A-list actors like Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks and Sebastian Eugene Hansen have been roped in for supporting roles.

This is not the first time Black is trying his skills at video game-to-movie genre as he took part as the villain Bowser in the super hit The Super Mario Bros movie and also co-wrote and sang the film’s romantic song titled Peaches.

To note, Minecraft gives players an opportunity to explore worlds alone and with friends.
