America’s First Lady Jill Biden will have a "small lesion" removed over her right eye after it was discovered while screening for skin cancer, according to the White House physician.
As of yet, it is unclear if Biden’s health is in any danger but she will go through an outpatient procedure which is commonly used to treat or remove skin cancer or cancerous tissue.
The physician Dr. Kevin C. O’Connor said that the procedure is taking place following doctors recommendation "in an abundance of caution" so that it can be examined.
Dr. O’Connor said that doctors will give an update after the procedure, known as Mohs surgery takes place.
According to reports, the surgery will be performed next Wednesday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
