BTS’ highly anticipated Busan concert for the World Expo bid kicked off today, October 15.

The septate, who announced an indefinite break from group activities, gathered to put on a show together for their fandom ARMY one last time before they embark on solo activities.

“We worked hard to prepare for this one-time special concert,” the band’s leader, Namjoon said, according to Soompi. “There will be fun performances and songs that we’ll be singing for the first time in a long while. I hope that [our fans] will happily sing along and jump together with us.”

For Jin, the oldest member of the group, excitement, and nervousness go hand in hand with their “first concert in a long time,” as he claimed that his “heart is on fire.”

“We’ve prepared songs that everyone knows, so I hope you’ll enjoy watching. We’ll do our best,” the Epiphany singer said.

The concert has a diverse track list and includes, songs from their latest anthology album, Proof.

“As it’s a free-spirited concert in the style of a festival, I hope that everyone in the audience will fully let go and enjoy the show,” Suga hoped.

The lead dancer of the group, J-hope admitted to feeling some pressure ahead of playing the show in their home country. “It’s a concert that we worked hard to prepare. While I do feel some nervousness and pressure that we have to do a good job, I plan to show you all the energy I’ve got with the mindset of ‘Let’s go and have fun with a lot of people,’ so I’d be grateful if you enjoyed the show,” he shared.

The youngest trio of the group, or the ‘Maknae line’ – as they say in Korean – is equally excited as the older ones.

They hoped that the ARMY who are present in the concert and the ones who will be streaming the show online from different parts of the world will “enjoy the show to your heart’s content.”

Kim Taehyung promised the fans that the group will “pour everything we’ve got into putting on a cool concert” for everyone watching.

“Since it’s our first concert in a long time, I’m nervous and excited. I want to put on a concert with no regrets, and I hope that everyone who watches the concert will receive positive energy from it. There will be new performances as well, so you can safely look forward to the show,” said Jungkook.
