Days of Our Lives find new streaming home, Peacock

After streaming for nearly six decades on NBC, Days of Our Lives moved to Peacock.

NBC announced that its long-running soap opera would switch to its electronic platform.

Right now, Peacock is broadcasting older episodes of the Emmy-winning drama series and has previously aired its spinoffs, including Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem and Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas film.

Mark Lazarus, Chairman, NBC Universal Television and Streaming quoted in a statement:

"This programming shift benefits both Peacock and NBC and is reflective of our broader strategy to utilize our portfolio to maximize reach and strengthen engagement with viewers."

"With a large percentage of the 'Days of Our Lives' audience already watching digitally, this move enables us to build the show's loyal fanbase on streaming while simultaneously bolstering the network daytime offering with an urgent, live programming opportunity for partners and consumers," the chairman continued.

On September 12, NBC News Daily will debut across all NBC stations, taking over the show's time slot.

The show will also be shown concurrently on Peacock and NBC News NOW.
