Nikki Reed and Evan Rachel Wood went from being enemies as teen girls to doting on each other as adults.

Nikki and Evan co-starred in teen drama Thirteen about 18 years ago. After hating each other on the set to keeping up with each other's life weekly— “sometimes daily." Nikki revealed on the June 4 episode for the Story + Rain talk podcast that the two “facetime together” very often.

The 33-year-old Twilight alum opened up about her feud days with Evan and explained that the two were merely 15-year-old angry kids when the movie came out. The two weren’t on the best terms then, and Nikki said they "had a couple of years after that film where we didn't speak."

Nikki admitted that she and Evan now understand why the two were against each other then and said that it was hardly their own fault because the whole thing was set up for them. She explained:

"As adults, we realized that it's because the process of creating a film and promoting it… We were too young to realize this at the time, but there were a lot of people that were kind of pitting us against each other, and making it a competitive atmosphere."

She continued, "Which, now, in hindsight, I'm like, 'Of course, because isn't that the recipe for how to treat all young women in this industry?!'"

The teen movie star shared she and Evan are extremely close now because they had a conversation over this where they each shared their feelings and rekindled after many years.

“The amazing thing is that her and I have reconnected. In our early 20's I reached out and I was like, 'Hey, what happened?! You know, I love you so much, and I don't know what happened,” Nikki explained while revealing that Evan reciprocated the feeling.

"We sat down together and we had two hours of just, like, vomiting up all of our feelings and emotions about the process," she said. "We really connected the dots and moved past it in that one sit-down."
