Kathie Gifford reveals she's in 'a Really Special Relationship With Somebody'

Kathie Lee Gifford let the cat out of the bag as she slipped being in a relationship with a new boyfriend on a new episode of TODAY with Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie.

The co-anchor Hoda Kotb commented on how much happier the former fourth-hour show’s co-host looks. This was enough to gently push Kathie into revealing the details about her new beau and the exciting dating life.

"I'm in a really special relationship with somebody that is nice and fun and healthy, and so that's good," she began with bits of information.

"It's just happy, and I don't want to mess it up, and I probably already have by just even mentioning it," she continued. "To be in a place where you feel like every aspect of your life is good, that nothing's missing, and that's a beautiful place to be. I'm just so grateful."

When the journalist was pressed for more information about her new boyfriend, she said she wasn’t ready to talk about it yet, but she continued gushing about him.

“He is challenging to me. He's the smartest person I've ever met, but he's funny."

"And we have a great time together, and so at this point in my life that's exactly what I need and exactly what I want, you know? Different seasons of life — we weren't meant to know each other before, it's right now. We don't know what the future holds at all, but we're having fun today."

Kathie had previously mentioned that dating life hasn’t suited her. That is why her friends at the news outlets were excited to hear the news as Savannah even said, “You're breaking some news here."
