Tom Holland gets candid about Robert Downey comeback in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’
‘Spider-Man’ actor teases his excitement for appearing with Robert in the upcoming movie
Tom Holland recently expressed his excitement over Robert Downey Jr. return in upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie.
The English actor revealed he talked about Robert’s big comeback to Zendaya, saying, “I think I hung up the phone and was like, ‘Downey’s coming back’.”
Tom opened up that he and Zendaya were in the same room when Robert called him about return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“I caught up with him a couple days ago on the phone. Yeah, we’ll just have casual catch ups every now and then. He checks in. And he just told me – and it’s really exciting,” explained the Uncharted actor.
Interestingly, Tom shared that Russo brothers, who are directing Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, almost remained tight-lipped, not giving away much details.
The Impossible actor told Cinemania.es, “I don’t know a lot about those movies, I think by design.”
“I have a reputation for spoiling certain things, and I think the studios are keeping me from the juicy details,” continued the 30-year-old.
However, Tom added, “I do get to grace that set, I’m so curious — you know, what does that mean for Peter? And how does that work? I’m very excited about… whatever it is they’re doing.”
Meanwhile, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day is slated to release in theatres on July 31.
