'Love Island USA' honours teammate after sudden death during season 8

Love Island USA, which has been noticeable for stirring controversies, was hit with a sad news of one of its members’ death.

The eighth season kicked off with great zeal on July 9, 2026 after massive success of the seventh season.

It was reported on Tuesday, June 16 that the executive producer James Barker was no more after facing a medical emergency.

The creators decided to dedicate the new episode to the departed soul, leaving a special message for the 40-year-old.

The host of the show announced in front of the contestants of the villa: “None of us know how long we’ve got.”

She added: “For some, that time can be cut way too short, so please cherish every moment.” It wrapped up with the remembrance of the EP, featuring a pictures of James and his candid moments.

Although the news was confirmed that the showrunner was no more, his cause of death was not made public.

Earlier, it was reported that James was rushed to hospital due to an unknown medical emergency which eventually resulted in his death.

Is Love Island USA coming to theatres?

Previously, another announcement left the streamers shocked as the series is looking forward to give a theatre release to Casa Amor episode.

The new instalment saw a massive jump of more than 70% in comparison to the previous part that streamed last year.
