Tom Cruise has backed Steven Spielberg’s latest release Disclosure Day, sharing his excitement following a special Los Angeles screening.
On Friday, June 13, the veteran actor took to his official Instagram handle to post highlights from the event, joined by Colin Farrell and Dakota Fanning, his former co-stars in Spielberg films.
He penned, “Steven thank you for all of the hours of joy that you have given us in the cinema!! It has been a great honor and pleasure to have worked with you and to call you my friend.”
He also acknowledged Emily Blunt, star of the new sci-fi release, writing, “Congratulations to my dear friend Emily and the entire group of artists that created this movie. You were superb. We all loved Disclosure Day!!”
The screening also drew attention for Cruise’s playful custom popcorn bucket shaped like Spielberg head sculpture, which he was seen holding during the event.
On the film front, Cruise’s past collaborations with Spielberg include Minority Report and War of the Worlds, two major highlights of his career.
