David Beckham was recognised for his contribution, earning a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the category Sports Entertainment.
The 50-year-old was joined by his wife Victoria Beckham and Tom Cruise on June 12 to launch the milestone.
He later turned to Instagram and penned down a gushing tribute for the Hollywood A-list star and the fashion designer.
Sir David shared pictures from the event and captioned the update: “A day I will never forget.” Expressing his gratitude towards the Mission Impossible lead for being there at the ceremony.
The Inter Miami CF co-owner also mentioned his wife and children despite their ongoing family feud, thanking them for “love and support” in his journey.
The soccer player admitted that Los Angeles “holds such a special place in my heart,” revealing he came to the place “with a dream of what soccer could be in the US.”
It is to be noted that the champion’s estranged son currently resides in Los Angeles after announcing that he and his wife Nicola Peltz are cutting off all ties with their family.
According to an update, David shut down a question about rift with the Cloud23 owner during the event, calling it a “private matter.”
