Hollywood star Colman Domingo has admitted he still can’t quite believe his luck after landing a role in legendary director Steven Spielberg’s latest sci-fi project, Disclosure Day.

The 56-year-old actor stars alongside Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor and Eve Hewson in the big-budget thriller, and says he was left completely “in awe” of Spielberg throughout filming.

Speaking to Variety, he confessed there were moments on set when he almost had to pinch himself.

“You feel like there are moments when you absolutely are in awe,” he said.

“Not only while you’re in it and doing the work, but at some point you rise above your own body and go, ‘Oh my God, I’m working with Steven Spielberg on a Steven Spielberg set with these incredible actors.’”

The Euphoria and The Four Seasons star said the experience became something almost surreal.

He added that Spielberg created a “playground” where cast and crew could fully lean into their imagination.

He also revealed the film’s story taps into humanity’s fascination with the unknown, focusing on a meteorologist and cybersecurity expert who uncover a government cover-up involving extraterrestrial secrets and mysterious phenomena.

And Colman didn’t shy away from sharing his own beliefs about life beyond Earth.

“I absolutely do,” he said when asked about aliens.

“I don’t know what they look like, but I do believe there has to be more. It can’t just be us.”

He added that he often finds himself staring at the night sky, wondering what else might be out there.
