Dwayne Johson has recently expressed his excitement as he introduces live-action Moana in a new social media post.
The American wrestler turned actor takes to Instagram and shares behind-the-scene video from his highly-anticipated movie.
In the clip, Dwayne, famously known as The Rock, says that this is a character who is globally loved and he could not forget the day when his director Thomas Kail ringed up for Moana.
Catherine Lagaaia, who is playing Moana, opens up that she always dreamt of playing princess and it’s such an incredible experience. She feels honoured to step into this legacy.
Dwayne, on the other hand, gushes over Catherine, as he writes in the caption, “I’m super proud and excited for you to see @catherinelagaaia as our live action MOANA.”
Calling Catherine his little sister, the Smashing Machine actor explains, “I’ve been so proud and impressed with not only her heartfelt performance in the film, but more importantly than her performance.”
“I’ve been impressed with how she has handled the unbelievable pressure that comes with taking on this iconic role,” he adds.
In the end, Dwayne, who plays Maui, reveals MOANA will release in theatres on July 10.
Meanwhile, the Jumanji actor’s fans are happy to see the first glimpse of Moana.
