Love Island USA, notable for stirring major drama, kickstarted new season after eliminations left fans and streamers shocked.
As the show head towards its first fan vote of the season, it faced an unexpected problem on Tueday as the seventh episode aired on the platform.
It was revealed that the application of the series glitched with viewers encountering a message that read: “Network error.”
This came shortly after the official Instagram page shared an update about the opening of voting: “Vote tonight to choose which Islanders the new Bombshells, Sol, Jen and Caleb, should couple up with.”
The notification disclosed the timing for the voting to open at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT, wrapping up at 1 a.m ET/10 p.m. PT.” This was for the United States only.
This indicates that the viewers have to wait a little longer to be able to voicing their opinions through the application as there has been no update about the unprecedented situation.
The process helps give fans the right to decide which couples can stay, be paired together and who will be ending their journey in the Villa.
Previously, the show sparked a drama before launching, removing two members from the star cast Vasana Montgomery and Sean Reifel due to use of racial slurs in viral video clips.
