Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter Zahara has reportedly taken formal steps in California to amend her surname.
The 21-year-old, one of six children from the former couple’s long relationship, submitted a petition for a legal name change on April 28, the outlet reported.
As per People magazine, a source close to Pitt, said, “It’s sad to see someone repeatedly publicise their successful alienation of their children from the other parent.”
The move mirrors her brother Maddox, who recently made a similar filing to remove “Pitt” from his surname.
The ex couple, who separated legally in December 2024, are also parents to Pax, 22, Shiloh, 20, and twins Knox and Vivienne, aged 17.
Shiloh previously obtained a legal name change in 2024 and now uses Shiloh Jolie.
For the unversed, Zahara was recently referred to as Zahara Marley Jolie at her graduation, despite earlier listings under Jolie Pitt.
During her college graduation and sorority induction, she reflected on her upbringing, saying, “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie.”
