Ellie Goulding makes bold declaration about her new song ‘Black Prada Dress’

Ellie Goulding recently makes honest confession about her newly released song, Black Prada Dress.

The Lights singer has always been candid about her battle with anxiety, imposter syndrome and crippling insecurities especially from her sudden rise to fame in the early 2000s in her previous interviews.

Over the years, the Love Me Like You Do hit-maker has learned to navigate her life by managing her anxious thoughts and shedding other people’s opinions.

In view of her coping strategies, Ellie’s latest track released last week talks about her inner feelings and how writing has helped her confront her insecurities that have kept her “inside a self-conscious” loop in the past.

Taking to Instagram on June 9, the English singer-songwriter thanks her fans for the outpouring of love on her new single.

“Thank you for all the love on Black Prada Dress,” writes the 39-year-old in the caption.

Ellie explains that this new song is “really about my inner dialogue and the insecurities I’ve carried for as long as I can remember that have shaped me as a person but also kept me inside a self-conscious loop”.

The Burn singer also admits that writing it out was one of the best ways to confront those feelings and then transform them into something “cathartic and powerful”.

“It means so much that it’s resonated with so many of you,” she adds in the end.

Earlier this week, Ellie shared that she’s all set to make a comeback to her music after the birth of her second child.

“Music and performing is the thing that keeps me going,” states the singer who is a mother to two children.
