Guillermo Rodriguez, who is known to be a sidekick of Jimmy Kimmel, was announced to be joining Dancing With the Stars.

Notable for his comic presence on the late night show, the 55-year-old was introduced by the American host as he was “deputised” by the network ABC and Walt Disney Company.

He introduced the “major celebrity contestant who will be” competing in the “upcoming season” of DWTS, calling him someone “you love… know.”

During his show, the comedian walked on-stage while dressed in traditional, colourful dress, sending fans in to a frenzy.

Guillermo showed off his moves before greeting Jimmy, revealing excitement and promising he won’t be losing any pounds after being part of the competition.

The online community were shocked to see the comedian join the reality show, dancing with other notable figures.

One of the Instagram users noted: “I’m definitely going to watch DWTS this season! Voting for Guillermo,” while another revealed: “This will be my first time ever to watch DWTS. Doing if for you, G.”

An admirer penned down a similar remark: “Never watched… but now, oh yes!”

When is DWTS season 35 premiering?

Fans have already decided to take the newly joined contestant to the finals, rooting for him before he begins his journey on season 35.

The new instalment is scheduled to premiere in Fall 2026 on ABC, Hulu and Disney+.
