David Harbour is showing no signs of slowing down as he signs on for a brand-new dark comedy, Little One.
The 51-year-old actor is starring opposite Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere actress Gabby Hoffmann.
It's worth noting that the details about the characters are being kept tightly under wraps, but the film is already sparking intrigue in Hollywood circles.
The story is said to centre on a seemingly perfect, picture-postcard family whose lives are suddenly thrown into chaos when a child’s unsettling behaviour takes a dark and unexpected turn.
The project also marks a major milestone for filmmaker Alex Kavutskiy, who makes his feature directorial debut after gaining critical praise for his short films.
He will both write and direct the movie, with Hammerstone Studios boss Alex Lebovici financing and serving as executive producer.
For the Stranger Things star, it’s the latest addition to an already packed slate.
Harbour was recently seen in HBO’s DTF St. Louis alongside Linda Cardellini and Jason Bateman, a performance that earned him a Gotham TV Award earlier this week.
And there’s plenty more on the horizon.
He is set to return this December as the outrageous, muscle-bound Santa in Violent Night 2, with Kristen Bell joining as Mrs Claus.
Producers have already teased that development on the sequel is “going super well”, hinting fans are in for even bigger festive chaos.
He will also reprise his Marvel role as Red Guardian in Avengers: Doomsday, a part he has previously described as physically gruelling.
The actor admitted the training pushed him to his limits, involving boxing, Russian Sambo, and intense agility work.
Beyond that, Harbour’s upcoming lineup also includes Evil Genius and John Rambo.
