David Harbour has admitted he’s still dreaming up extra scenes for Jim Hopper, even after the curtain finally came down on Stranger Things.

The 51-year-old star, who played gruff police chief Hopper across all five seasons of the smash-hit Netflix show, confessed he wishes his character had shared more emotional moments before the epic finale wrapped earlier this year.

Speaking at a special Stranger Things 5 event, he revealed that he would’ve loved more screen time with Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, and Mike Wheeler, portrayed by Finn Wolfhard.

He also joked that he even wanted a scene alongside Joe Keery, adding, “Stories have to end in a certain way and they don’t get to go on and do whatever fan fiction I’m writing in my head.”

The Hellboy star was joined by castmates including Jamie Campbell Bower, Noah Schnapp and Natalie Dyer as the stars reflected on the emotional farewell to the beloved series.

Meanwhile, Jamie hilariously admitted his “perfect ending” would have seen villain Vecna wipe everyone out.

The show’s creators, Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, said the final scene, featuring the gang reunited in the Wheeler basement for one last game of Dungeons and Dragons, was the hardest moment they’d ever written.

Noah called it “a culmination of 10 years”, while Natalie said her final day on set would remain “a core memory”.
