Tom Hardy has reportedly exited MobLand ahead of its planned third season following alleged behind-the-scenes tensions on set.

The 47-year-old actor starred in the Paramount+ series alongside Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, but a report from Matthew Belloni’s Puck News claimed that his exit after ongoing issues during production of season two.

The report alleged that he was frequently late to set, attempted to alter scripts and dialogue, and clashed with producers over creative decisions as the series shifted toward a broader ensemble focus.

Belloni wrote in his newsletter, “Hardy was apparently late to set a bunch, constantly asked to give notes on scripts, attempted to change dialogue.”

It is also revealed that tensions escalated between the star and producers Jez Butterworth and David Glasser, with one report suggesting a breakdown in working relations contributed to the decision for him not to return.

However, this is not the first time concerns have been raised about Hardy’s behaviour on set.

During Mad Max: Fury Road, Charlize Theron and Hardy reportedly clashed, with Theron once saying she “didn’t feel safe” during parts of the production, according to earlier accounts.

Meanwhile, he later admitted he was “in over his head” during the film, acknowledging the challenges of the intense shoot.
