Voltron, which features Henry Cavill, Rita Ora, Sterling K. Brown and others, seems to have been hit by a major setback.
The live-action movie is supposedly losing its charm as many fans were hit with a shocking update about the release of the project.
According to a report, the 2026 Voltron is skipping a theatrical release and going for a direct launch which means viewers will have to stay home to stream it.
The online community is already speculating that the movie will not fulfil expectations despite having A-list stars in the cast.
A netizen made a sarcastic remark, “Oh, so it’s gonna suck?” while another had a similar response to the update: “So it’s trash.”
One of the admirers admitted: “11-year-old me has been waiting to see live action Voltron on the big screen for more than 40 years.”
On the other hand, many wonder the reason behind its theatrical release. An online narrative explained that Amazon do not have much faith in the project.
The creators possibly believe that the project won’t “win awards and actually risks losing money.” The direct release might “save $150 million on marketing.”
Fans are now demanding that Amazon prepares a theatrical release for the greatest cartoon of the 80s, comparing it with projects like Beekeeper 2 and How to Rob a Bank.
