Saturday Night Live is commenting on the growing fear this week regarding the Hantavirus, which has made the masses worry that the world might experience a global pandemic once again.

The sketch comedy show, which is known for taking jabs at the Trump administration, brought up the President of the United States’ Donald Trump’s response to how the threat of virus being spread was being handled, comparing it to the one he gave before COVID.

During the Weekend Updates segment, host Colin Jost explained, “World Health Authorities are tracking down dozens of passengers who left a cruise ship where there was a deadly outbreak of Hantavirus which is typically caused by exposure to rodent droppings…”

The comedian then joked about it being Mickey Mouse before noting that the situation sounds scary but the President could help calm people’s fears, before a clip of Trump played.

In the clip the politician replied to an interviewer that he had been briefed on the virus and “It’s very much, we hope, under control.”

Jost then mocked that it was such great news, before adding that it sounded familiar and playing a clip from 2020 of the businessman, in which he says that they have things under control.
