Saturday Night Live’s cold open has brought back a number of iconic impressions in a meeting at a bar to mock America’s current political events.
The sketch comedy show enlisted Colin Jost’s Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Aziz Ansari's FBI Director Kash Patel along with this week’s host Matt Damon’s Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and imitated a conversation the three would have over drinks at a bar.
It begins with the Weekend Update host’s character being happy to have a spot “where I’m not going to run into anyone from work, because none of Trump’s people like drinking as much as I do,” only to be joined shortly after by The Rip star.
The duo bonded over their drinking habits, which is something the real Hegseth and Kavanaugh have been confronted with in their respective confirmation hearings.
Jost's Hegseth then bragged that he "started a war," while Damon's Kavanaugh boasted that he "ended abortion," adding, "Your body, my choice!"
They were then joined by Ansari’s Patel, who joked that he was the first in his family to attend college parties years after graduating.
Notably, the American lawyer also told the other two that President Donald Trump would be going against all odds and doing a third term in office.
