Meryl Streep supports Jimmy Kimmel: 'We depend on you'

Meryl Streep, who is busy because of her latest movie, The Devil Wears Prada 2, recently supported American television host, Jimmy Kimmel.

Present at the show Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday night, April 30th, the American actress praised the host for his work.

Before complimenting him, the 76-year-old questioned the interviewee how he had been doing since he was caught in a controversy with the US President, Donald Trump.

Without thinking much, Jimmy revealed, "I’m holding up,"

Continuing the conversation, the world-famous star gushed, "You’re a prince. You are a Knight Templar, You’re carrying the banner of freedom of the press."

He answered, explaining his side, "I’m just trying to do some jokes,"

Following the explanation, Meryl stated, "We all depend on you... and the world is listening. I’ve just come from around the world."

This comes after Donald issued a statement against the 58-year-old, asking the authorities to get him fired from the news since he is of no work and has "lowest" ratings.

Prior to that, Jimmy made a insensitive remark about the first lady, Melania Trump, when he called her "an expectant widow" because her husband looked sick and frail, which landed him in trouble.
