Cheryl Burke admits she’s not searching for romance anymore
Cheryl Burke has danced her way into millions of hearts but when it comes to romance, she’s stepping firmly off the floor.
The former Dancing with the Stars favourite has admitted she may never date again after her split from Matthew Lawrence in 2022.
Now 41, Cheryl says she’s happily “dating herself” and loving every minute of it.
“I don’t know if I ever want to be dating again,” she confessed, adding that while she’s not completely ruling out love, she’s certainly not on the hunt.
“If it happens, so be it. I’m not searching, that’s for sure.”
And don’t expect to find her swiping anytime soon as the star insists dating apps are a hard no.
Joking about her screen time, Cheryl quipped she’d “turn cross-eyed” if she added one to her phone.
Since her divorce, she has embraced celibacy and four years on, she says she’s still “going strong”.
More than that, she calls it empowering.
“It’s been absolutely the right decision for my self-respect,” she explained.
“It’s power — and something I needed my whole life.”
Meanwhile, her ex Matthew, best known for Mrs. Doubtfire and Boy Meets World, has already moved on, finding love with Rozonda Thomas.
But Cheryl isn’t looking back as instead, she’s focusing on growth, healing and a fresh chapter.
“I feel at peace… like a reborn human,” she said.
Her career is evolving, her personal life is calmer and she’s got loyal company in her beloved dog.
Love might be off the table for now but for Cheryl, self-love is clearly taking centre stage.
