Barry Manilow is facing the music but this time, it’s not on stage.

The 82-year-old beloved showman has been forced to delay more dates of his Las Vegas residency as he continues his battle with cancer, leaving fans heartbroken but hopeful.

The Copacabana hitmaker first revealed in December 2025 that he had been diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer.

Since then, he’s stepped back from performing, cancelling a string of shows earlier this year and now, he’s confirmed he won’t be returning for his May performances in Sin City either.

In a candid update shared on Instagram, Barry struck a mix of humour and honesty.

“Good news!” he wrote, revealing doctors say he’s making “great progress” and even looking great thanks to his dedication to training and exercise.

But despite the encouraging signs, he admitted he’s still “not quite ready” to get back under the bright lights of Las Vegas.

There is, however, a glimmer of excitement for fans across the UK.

The Mandy singer is confident he’ll be fit enough for his June arena tour, promising an emotional comeback and he’s already eyeing a return to his Vegas stage by July.

Behind the scenes, though, the road to recovery hasn’t been easy.

The legendary crooner confessed it’s been “agony” waiting for his voice and breathing to fully return, admitting he still can’t make it through a full 90-minute set without struggling.

His diagnosis came as a shock, discovered only thanks to a precautionary scan after bronchitis, a move he now credits with saving his life.

For now, the curtain stays down but Barry’s not done yet.
