Barbie Ferreira has finally made peace with a secret that fans once thought she completely made up and that is her appearance in a shelved Beyoncé music video.
The Euphoria star revealed she filmed a glamorous cameo around three and a half years ago during Beyoncé’s Renaissance era, but the project was never released, leaving many sceptical about whether it ever happened at all.
Speaking on Owen Thiele’s In Your Dreams podcast, Barbie admitted she’s now stopped hoping it will ever see the light of day.
“It’ll never come out. I finally have accepted it,” she said.
“It was the THIQUE music video, and it was so cool. I’ve accepted no one will ever see it, but I do tell people I was in a Beyoncé music video.”
The 29-year-old actress explained the project was directed by visual artist Nadia Lee Cohen and reportedly featured stars including Megan Thee Stallion, Shygirl and Carmen Electra.
“It was like… thick b******,” she joked, laughing at the surreal experience.
Despite the clip staying locked away, the model still got a golden moment out of it, an invite to Beyoncé’s birthday party.
But the actress confessed she needed a little liquid courage before meeting Queen Bey herself.
“I got really drunk before so I could say happy birthday to her,” she said.
“It was so intimate.”
Expecting a huge celebrity bash, Barbie and her friend were stunned to find a smaller gathering of fewer than 50 guests at a roller rink.
“It was the best party I’ve ever been to,” she added.
“Shout out to Beyoncé for even remembering I was in a music video that will never come out.”
