Charli XCX, who had her fans on their toes as they were for the singer's rock music, has finally opened up about the update.
Previously, after announcing her album, in a candid conversation she revealed that “I think the dance floor is dead, so now we’re making rock music”.
Upon hearing the sentence, fans had been waiting for heavy metal rock, as they thought the songwriter would excel.
Now ending the rumours and smashing the hopes of her supporters, the 33-year-old released behind-the-scene footage of her working on a song.
The post also included a caption that read, “a video of me making a song called “rock music” that is not actually rock music,”
The songstress made it clear that she had never worked on such music, rather, it was the name of the song that must have confused the netizens.
She added, “Which is funny because i never said i was making a rock album. love you xx.”
One admirer penned under the video, “No but I actually do want a hyperpop house rock album [crying emoji] [crying emoji].”
It is to be noted that Charli has used the elements of rock music in her 2014 album, Sucker.
