Larry Birkhead has remarked on his and Anna Nicole Smith’s 19-year-old daughter, Dannielynn, and the expectation people have of her following in her mother’s footsteps.
The photographer, who is now a single dad since the actress passed away from drug intoxication in 2007, revealed that he supports hi daughter’s career choices.
At the Barnstable Brown Gala ahead of the 2026 Kentucky Derby, the father-daughter duo marked a joint appearance, where the young one gave an update on her studies.
“I'm majoring in forensic science. I might double major, possibly, in something regarding culinary, because I love baking, I don't know,” she stated to People.
Larry added, “I'm excited for her to just follow any path that she wants. A lot of people want her to follow in her mom's footsteps — and she's thought about that, and maybe she might switch back to that one day — but right now, she's kind of wanting to do her own thing…”
The 53-year-old then specified and emphasised the 19-year-old’s interest in forensics and criminal studies and added that he’s all for what she wants, also revealing that she got good grades her first semester in college.
