Lisa Kudrow, who revealed that she felt unrecognized when she was on Friends, has allegedly caused some discomfort among her former co-stars.

As per the recent remarks made about her portrayal of Phoebe Buffay, the 62-year-old asserted that she felt like a nobody on the sitcom set.

This comes in comparison to Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc.

According to the insider, the comments were not left unnoticed by the cast, which infamously negotiated contracts as a group to ensure even pay and unity.

The confidant told Radar Online that, "The cast is very protective of the show's legacy."

"They negotiated together, stood together – that was the whole point. They want the story of Friends to remain about unity – not division."

It is purported to be especially delicate after the death of Matthew Perry in 2023, whose departure broke the hearts of the co-stars.

The bond between the cast is even more sacred following the tragedy.

Nonetheless, insiders insisted that a full-blown feud is not likely, notwithstanding the tension.

Referring to the feud they noted, "There's too much love" to comment on these things and create any fuss.

Notably, representatives of famous group Aniston, Cox, Schwimmer and LeBlanc did not comment instantly.

The first season of Friends ran on NBC between 1994 and 2004. In 1998, Kudrow was awarded an Emmy nomination as Phoebe.
