Why Betty White never had children of her own

Betty White is still one of the most popular icons in television with a long life of accomplishments, fast thinking and a friendly face on the screen. 

However, there are a number of fans who are wondering why the American actress and comedian never tried to have children of her own.

Hello Magazine states that White had been involved in entertainment at a tender age and gradually established her name in radio and TV. 

As her career expanded, she took choices that kept her busy with her work, by acting and producing parts in which she was expected to be consistent and needed time.

White was quite familiar with her character, she referred to herself as a person who is very engrossed with what she is doing. 

Due to that, she thought that it would have been very hard to balance motherhood with her demanding career. 

Instead of believing that she was deprived of something, she took her course as something deliberate.

Although White had no biological children, she was still able to enjoy family life as she married Allen Ludden and became stepmother to his three children. 

She frequently talked fondly of that experience, demonstrating that her concept of family was not limited to biology.

Beyond the family, White demonstrated her motherly feelings by her lifetime affection towards animals. 

The Golden Girls star passed away on December 31, 2021, only a few weeks before her 100th birthday. 

Her legacy can be viewed as an alternative, yet equally significant, interpretation of family, one that has been formed by choice and not by convention.
